River Venture Studio is proud to serve as the Venture Building Facilitator for the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) ARISE Programme. Through this initiative, we guide deep tech innovators and researchers in transforming their intellectual property and breakthrough ideas into scalable, market-ready ventures. Participants benefit from the expertise of global mentors, IP specialists, investors, and industry leaders, delivered through online and hybrid sessions. The programme spans the APAC region, North America, and the GCC, providing hands-on support, resources, and tools to accelerate ventures from ideation to global impact. With River Venture Studio’s facilitation, SUTD innovators gain the knowledge, mentorship, and ecosystem connections needed to succeed in the fast-evolving deep tech landscape.
ARISE x SUTD – Kickoff Day 1 Highlights
River Venture Studio, led by our Founder & CEO Dr. Viveka Kalidasan, kicked off the Venture Building Program at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), guiding deep tech innovators through Venture Building 101. Participants explored entrepreneurial mindsets, value proposition, business modeling, and turning research into scalable ventures. The session also featured portfolio founders Rishab Patwari (Hivebotics) and David Isaac Mathews (AIPath.one), who shared their startup journeys, inspiring the 11 participating teams to think big, act boldly, and transform ideas into real-world impact. Backed by Enterprise Singapore, River Venture Studio continues to empower founders to build impactful, global deep tech ventures.
ARISE x SUTD – Kickoff Day 2 Highlights
Our Founder and CEO, Dr. Viveka Kalidasan, led Day 2 of the ARISE Program at SUTD, with sessions covering IP fundamentals, licensing, and open innovation collaborations. The deeptech teams gained practical tools to protect and commercialize their innovations. Supported by Enterprise Singapore, River empowers innovators shaping the next wave of Industry 5.0 ventures. These sessions were delivered masterfully by Mr. Benjamin Varier, Dr. Pui Mun, Mr. Hemanand Moorthy, and Mr. Jimmy Wong, who carried the sessions exceptionally well and provided invaluable motivation to the teams. The room was buzzing with energy and passion, and we look forward to witnessing the growth and impact of these dedicated deeptech founders. It’s an honor to support them on this journey.

Our Founder and CEO, Dr. Viveka Kalidasan, led Day 3 of ARISE Program at SUTD, guiding founders through investor expectations, funding strategies, incorporation, and legal essentials. The sessions equipped participants with the knowledge to scale deeptech ventures with confidence. Backed by Enterprise Singapore, River continues to cultivate the next generation of Industry 5.0 leaders.Our founders dove into another set of high-impact sessions, designed to prepare them for building and scaling deeptech ventures.Session 1 — Investor Expectations, led by Mr.Ravinchandran Somu.Session 2 — Types of Funding, with Dr. Viveka Kalidasan.Session 3 — Incorporation, delivered by Dr. Chinnu Palanivelu.And Session 4 — Legal Matters, guided by Ms. Grace Lee. Each session offered invaluable insights, sparking motivation and driving rich discussions. The energy in the room was contagious — a true reflection of the passion and dedication of these deeptech founders.

River Venture Studio, founded by Dr. Viveka Kalidasan and backed by Enterprise Singapore, is proud to share highlights from Day 4 of our Venture Building Program at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where we serve as the venture-building facilitator. Our Founder & CEO, Dr. Viveka, led three key sessions—Winning Pitch, Global Expansion, and Preparing for Big Exit—guiding founders through storytelling, investor readiness, international structuring, and exit strategies. We were also joined by Dr. Adhvaidha Kalidasan of RMIT University, Ho Chi Minh City, who delivered an engaging session on Communication Strategies to strengthen founder branding and outreach. The day was filled with high energy, meaningful discussions, and strong progress from the deeptech teams, reflecting our commitment to empowering ventures shaping the future of Industry 5.0.
Demo Day
River Venture Studio is proud to share a major milestone from our Venture Building Program with a top-tier Singapore university, culminating in a successful Demo Day after two months of intensive workshops. Twelve promising DeepTech (potential) spin-offs presented their innovations to a select audience of investors, corporates, and ecosystem leaders, marking an important step in their journey to market. We are honoured to have partnered with this prestigious institution to design and deliver the full programme and support these founders as they shape the future of DeepTech.
